Kitchen Remodeling in Medical Lake, WA

Medical Lake is a quiet lake town fifteen minutes west of Spokane — a historic brick main street, early-century cottages, and newer homes tucked along the water. The older kitchens are small and walled off by modern standards; the remodel that transforms them is taller uppers, drawer banks, layered lighting, and the wall-opening move toward the living room.

The Medical Lake pattern repeats across whole blocks: kitchen walled off from the living room, soffit over a short run of cabinets, one ceiling fixture. Removing the soffit, opening the wall, and adding an island is the signature remodel here — and for longtime owners it’s also the moment for aging-in-place details: wider walkways, pull-out shelves, task lighting.
